Happy ...thingy

Every year...I'm not going to do it...December can just go away and I'll see everyone in January...I'm not getting drawn into it, no lights, no decorations, no tree...nuttin'..not me..no way...not this year...go away....I'm hiding out...
but they always find me...and want to DO SOMETHING on the 25th which usually includes some sort of decorative tree to gather around and distribute presents.

So this is my HOW TO DECORATE at the last minute with a minimum of effort and it all packs away quickly on the 26th.

Take one heater - currently not in use 'cause it's summer here
add a tacky lace table cover and a patchwork runner in the correct seasonal colours


then take one tacky 1960's hors d'oeuvre tree..
add tacky silk poinsettia... (have you noticed a theme developing here)


add balls - find the santa collection....


find the wall hanging son made in 1982...
shake the dust off the elf.....


locate even more of the tacky silk poinsettia collection (this is the only time of year it sees daylight) ...gather the santa collection artistically around..whack a skewer in santa's bum and stick him in with the poinsettias (but artistically..)


nearly done, but something's missing - a dragon - everything looks better with a dragon...
